Magic Man is a ranged champion whose main role is ninja and whose secondary role is wizard.
Magic Man is an incredibly annoying character. He has a high move speed and a passive which enhances it, allowing him to chase down any opponents. Magic Man's move speed also allows him to run away from opponents very well. It is important to be mindful of the timing of Magic Man's passive ability. When engaging an opponent, instead of simply clicking on one point and allowing your character to automatically path find there after auto-attacking, actively make sure you are moving either towards your opponent or dodging attacks. The same idea applies when running away as Magic Man. If you find that an enemy is catching up to you, remember that you can them to activate your passive, increasing your move speed and allowing you to get away.
Magic Man's Q, Energy Snakes, silences enemies. Silence is not the best form of CC in the game, but can be effective in either stopping enemies who are channeling their powers, such as a Gunter E, Beemo W, or a Sir Rattleballs E. This power can also be used to prevent an enemy from using powers, such as preventing a Flame Princess from engaging her ult after a good polymorph, or keeping a The Lich from using his ult to teleport away. This ability can also be used to keep characters such as Gunter from dashing away. Often times this can result in a confused opponent as they unsuccessfully try to channel their power, allowing you a few more seconds to attack them.
EAT IT! is Magic Man's W, is a great gap-closer that comes with stealth, making it a great tool for both killing enemies and running away. The stealth and teleportation allows for you to jump on unsuspecting opponents. A quick Q can renders them unable to dash away for a few seconds, during which you are free to attack them under the protection of your stealth. The ability also allows you to get out of a situation quickly. However, the cooldown on this ability is pretty high, at 25 seconds, so you should be careful when using it. If possible, rely on using the extra move speed from your passive to escape dangerous. One last thing to note is that pressing W again after using this ability allows you to detonate your clone. This does not do a lot of damage, but can be effective is used properly.
Finally, is Magic Man's ult, Magic Away! The most important thing to note is that this ability does 35% + .1% per point of Power Damage of an opponent's current health. In other words, it can not kill an opponent no matter how little HP they have, even if they are a Fionna that just finished ulting and only has 1 HP. However, this power can be extremely powerful in a group fight context, where the damage that it does along with its armor reduction and slow allow your teammates to make quick work of any opponents that are caught in the radius of Magic Away! Just make sure that you have back up when engaging the enemy team with you ult or else you will be left vulnerable. You can also use it in tandem with your W, where you can also get some additional damage in after you blink out of the middle of the opponents.
